A 10-year-old Christian girl in Pakistan has been charged with blasphemy because she misspelled a word in a reference to Mohammed in response to a test question.
Faryal Bhatti was expelled from her school after she wrote the word for "curse" rather than a similar word meaning "hymn of praise" to describe a poem about Mohammed. Her parents have been forced to leave the local community, as Muslim crowds have taken to the streets chanting anti-Christian slogans, after the girl's spelling error was reported to religious leaders [more].
