A brief annoucement

This past Wednesday evening I received a telephone call from His Excellency, the Most Reverend Thomas John Paprocki, Bishop of Springfield in Illinois.

He called to ask me to be the Master of Episcopal Ceremonies, his driver, and the Associate Director of the Office for Vocations, with residence at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield, Illinois, effective January 11, 2010.

Shortly before he called me, he asked Father Christopher A. House to serve as the Pastor of Holy Cross Parish, Auburn; of Sacred Heart Parish, Virden; and of St. Patrick Parish, Girard, effective January 11, 2010, while retaining his various duties with the curia.

Father House and I are both pleased to accept these assignments and are excited at these new works in the vineyard of the Lord.

  5. What wonderful news, though I see that Claire must find a new home. I guess you have to start packing up the boxes of books again.

  11. Oh! Will extend your aloha to Bishop Larry on Monday. When available, he pops in and says 6:30am Mass on Tuesdays @Cathedral, but you probably know that already. Have a safe trip.
