Illuminations

The other day a friend sent along a link to illuminations from The Book of Knighthood written in the fifteenth century.  The medieval images are fascinating and right up my alley, the perfect treat to brighten a groggy Friday morning.

Here follow are a few of my favoriate renditions of chivalric activity:

    OK, the one with the horses trampling the brave decapitated, one armed knight is a bit much, albeit likely very realistic.
