Why do I love Jesus?

A Catholic Mom in Hawai'i recently tagged me for the "Why do I love him?" meme, "him" being Jesus.

After some thought, I would answer as follows:

1. Because out of his great love he humbled himself and became small for us at Bethlehem;
2. Because out of his great love he left us an everlasting memorial to be with us always in the Upper Room;
3. Because out of his great love he gave himself up to death on Calvary;
4. Because out of his great love he triumphed over the power of death when he stepped out of the tomb;
5. Because, in short, he first loved me.
