Miracles do happen

From Catholic World News comes this story of a man who was paralyzed but walked from Lourdes to Compestella:
A man with a paralyzed leg who visited Lourdes in 2002 regained the use of his leg and subsequently made a 1,000-mile pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

“In the name of the Church, I publicly recognize the ‘remarkable’ character of the healing from which Serge François benefited at Lourdes on April 12, 2002,” said Bishop Emmanuel Delmas of Angers after a team of 20 doctors examined the case and determined that the healing was “sudden, complete, [and] unrelated to any particular therapy.”

“This healing can be considered a personal gift from God to man, as an event of grace, as a sign of Christ the Savior,” the bishop added.
