Recipe wanted

Yesterday I went to St. Louis to visit from some friends from high school and to have lunch with them (pictures will be coming later).

We went to a restaurant called "Gia's" on "The Hill," the great Italian area of St. Louis.I had something called "pomodoro fritt"as an appetizer and it was amazing! Does anyone happen to have a recipe for it? I cannot seem to find one.
