I've always enjoyed eating at Pizza Hut, not only because I like the pizza but also probably because Pizza Hut reminds me of my childhood. I am, after all, one of that generation who participated in the Book It! program to earn free personal pan pizzas just for reading books I already planned to read. It was a win-win situation.
Now, though, I have another reason to like Pizza Hut. Not only has the pizza franchise released a new commercial in which it mocks people who take selfies - those "egotastic specimens of visual self-obsession" - and selfie sticks in general, warning of the effects of the dangers of selfie stick abuse.
This commercial is perfect and spot on:
