Yesterday was a day of great joy in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois that I am sorry to have missed. His Excellency the Most Reverend Thomas John Paprocki ordained four men to the priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception:

Effective July 1, 2015, Father Bagyo will serve as Parochial Vicar of Our Saviour Parish in Jacksonville, of St. Alexius Parish in Beardstown, of St. Fidelis Parish in Arenzville, and or St. Luke Parish in Virginia; Father Prichard will serve as Parochial Vicar of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Quincy; Father Smith will serve as Parochial Vicar of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and as Chaplain of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School; and Father Stone will serve as Parochial Vicar of Holy Family Parish in Granite City and of St. Mary and St. Mark Parish in Madison.
Please remember these newly ordained - and all priests - in your prayers, that they may always be shepherds of the flock after the Lord's own heart.
