This morning His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI appointed the Most Reverend George J. Lucas, unto now Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, the fifth Archbishop of Omaha. Congratulations, Archbishop-Designate Lucas!

Update: His Excellency will be installed in the Cathedral of St. Cecelia at 2:00 p.m. on July 22nd. A press conference in Omaha is scheduled this morning for 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Cultural Center.
