Have cassock, will travel

Greg Burke sent out a tweet today showing several Masters of Pontifical Ceremonies sitting in an airport using their electronic devices:
What caught my attention is not that they are using the devices, but that they are traveling in their cassocks. I've traveled in my cassock once before; it makes packing much simpler.

  1. For the life of me, I cannot remember ever traveling (via airliner) in a cassock. Did you encounter extra scrutiny by the TSA (or equivalent?) as a result. I seem to remember a friend - a canon of the ICRS, who traveled a LOT by plane - telling me that they always treated him like a pariah!

    1. I was given a "pat down" to ensure I was hiding a weapon under the cassock, but the TSA agent was apologetic about it.
