Helping Jesus walk

Medieval artists had a way of incorporating the faith of Jesus Christ into every aspect of faith.  So it was that they often recognized both the divinity of Christ and his humanity, whereas we so often only see his humanity.

At any rate, today on Twitter I saw a most remarkable depiction of the Holy Family from an illuminated volume of the Hours of Catherine of Cleves:

While Joseph works with the wood and Mary works on the loom, little Jesus learns to walk, with the aid of a walker.

  1. My thing is I want God the Father's eyes. If I could see with His eyes, everyone I looked upon would turn to Him with love. God bless you. Susan Fox
