Persecution Watch

  • In Nigeria, Muslim youths - angered at the reelection of their president - have burned 4 Christian churches, a Catholic school and other Catholic buildings; consequent of the same election, at least 300 are dead and some 14,000 Christians have fled their homes
  • In the Philippines, the Bishops fear Muslim retaliation after the death of bin Laden
  • In Pakistan, Catholics in Abbatobad have asked for increased security due concerns of retaliation
  • Also in Pakistan, 500 Muslim extremists attacked a Christian neighborhood in Gujranwala after a burnt Qur'an was found
