Fr. Euteneur to celebrate closing Mass

The Effingham County Right to Life will offer everyone the opportunity to ask God's forgiveness for the millions of lives lost through abortion, assisted suicide and euthanasia by hosting a day of prayer and Eucharistic adoration in St. Francis of Assisi parish in Teutopolis on June 24th.

Father Thomas Euteneur, President of Human Life International, will celebrate the Holy Mass to close the day of prayer at 7:30 p.m. He will also preach the homily.

The day of prayer will begin with Mass at 8:00 a.m.

Parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua parish are asked to adore the Eucharistic Lord from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., but are also welcome throughout the day.

Area youth are asked to adore the Lord from 4:00 p.m. to 5:oo p.m., but are also welcome throughout the day.

Please, if you are able, stop by the church and ask our Lord for forgiveness and the grace of conversion for many. I will be unable to be present for the day of prayer because I will be at mission work camp with many of our youth.

Right to Life Breakfast

The 35th annual Effingham County Right to Life Breakfast will be held Sunday, January 18th at the Teutopolis grade school.

The breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.

Volunteers are being sought to work in two-hour shifts, and to help with dontaing breads and rolls. For more information, contact Mrs. Jack Koester.

Please make plans to attend the breakfast.

Respect Life Sunday

The Effingham County Right to Life will hold the annual Life Chain on Sunday, October 5th. Here are the details:

A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the lobby of Sacred Heart Grade School, led by Pastor Richard Eident of Windsor Christian Church.

Following the prayer service, the Life Chain will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

This prayerful, peaceful and perfectly legal event will a Christian witness against the killing of unborn children. Signs will be provided.

Donations of cookies will, of course, be much appreciated.

If you able to attend, please do so. (I will be away in Quincy that weekend on a Great River TEC retreat).
