I need some encouragement

Are than any Catholics of integrity currently serving in public office?

  1. I know a Catholic of integrity *running* for office. Does that count? I'm afraid I can be of little assistance to you since I'm not only in need of encouragement but am currently looking for a good way to vent some righteous anger.

Here's a link to the Catholic political hopeful I mentioned:

I regularly see him on his knees before our Lord and his beautiful baby was baptized today at my church.

I know this isn't your district but could you offer a prayer for his family and his campaign? As always, it's David fighting the (incumbent and wealthy) giant.

  3. Bobby Jindal - governor of Louisiana?

A pretty short list, I'm sure...

Representative Chris Smith R-NJ, Catholic and one of the most staunchly pro-life congressman in DC.

After tonight, I don't know if there are any pro-life Democrats left in Congress.

  5. Representative Devin Nunes R-CA was on CSPAN yesterday and he did an excellent job explaining how terrible this bill is, including how anti-life it is. He did mention he was a catholic.
