Is wine good for the soul?

Drink wine, and you will sleep well.
Sleep, and you will not sin.
Avoid sin, and you will be saved.
Ergo, drink wine and be saved.

According to the above Medieval German proverb, it would seem so.

    It would seem so Father Daren, Yet by merely avoiding sin one is not giving back to others or doing any more good works for the Lord, therefore one must question as to how good for the soul wine actually is...

    One must question, however, the fact that whilst one is sleeping they are not giving back to society, working for The Lord, or spreading His word. Is merely avoiding sin the basis of entrance into heaven?
