His Emminence Justin Cardinal Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia suggests that Pope Benedict XVI has called the Year for Priests to coincide with the sesquintennial of the death of Saint John Marie Vianney, the patron of parish priests, because "our Holy Father not only possesses intellectual knowledge but also knows the importance of holiness, especially for the priest."
