Fr. Barron to speak at Holy Name Cathedral

If you are in the Chicago-area, this news might be of interest to you:

Usher in the Advent season as Fr. Barron unveils portions of his "Seven Deadly Sins" DVD at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago

Fr. Robert Barron ushers in Advent with a challenging presentation and clips from his newest DVD about the Seven Deadly Sins, those great spiritual blocks that inhibit our flourishing in relationship to God and to one another.

But that's not all! In this public premiere of his latest work, Father Barron also presents insight on the Seven Lively Virtues which offer healing to our sin-weakened souls and set us on the right path to salvation. Don't miss this preview of Fr. Barron's newest theological Retreat-on-Disc which presents a message of hope to all those who seek to know Christ and to accomplish his will.

The DVD will be available for purchase through Holy Name Books and Gifts following Fr. Barron's presentation. If you are in the Chicago area, be sure to attend Fr. Barron's talk, and invite your friends and family to this very special event.

The event at Holy Name Cathedral is free and open to the public. This would be an ideal way to welcome Christ into your heart this Advent season.

The quoted advert doesn't tell you, but Fr. Barron will speak at Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral on December 4th at 7:00 p.m.

Fr. Barron was one of my professors in seminary. His presentation style is engaging and he is well worth hearing if you can attend. Of course, you can also buy the DVDs of previous talks; they, too, are quite good.
