  1. Very nice.

I hope you are well and getting back to your routine. You've had a pretty emotionally draining week and I am glad for you that it is over.

I hope to post some pictures of my parish in the next few days.

Ellen: I'll look forward to the pictures.

  4. Thanks, Ellen. I am afraid that I will not be getting back to a routine of any kind until Thursday, but that is another story. I am getting too old for this driving around the Diocese every day; I am very much looking forward to spending three nights in the same bed.

Thanks, Jeffrey. They're from my home.

  5. Ah, but a lack of a routine seems to be the routine for a parish priest. At least that's what I am learning from my priest. When ever you think things are quieting down, well the dam breaks and the flood waters are let go. Being a parent is like that too.

Now, what's this about you being too old to be driving around. You're just a young un. But I do understand the need to have some roots when it comes to night time. There is nothing worse than sleeping on a different pillow each night.

Safe travels until you are done with them.

  6. Now, Ellen, surely you remember when the approach of thirty felt like the onset of decrepitude.

  7. When I was approaching 30, I was looking for that AARP application in the mail. Now that I am approaching 50, I'm looking for those senior discounts! (My parents shouldn't have all the fun - and savings!!!)

  8. They usually give me the senior discount without asking. I gave up arguing about it a couple years ago.

  9. My son is already commenting on the nursing homes that he is considering for us. Growing older stinks!

  10. Slap him upside the head. They all need that sort of treatment, now and then.
