It was announced last evening prior to the celebration of Vespers that the Reverend Father Joel M. Hastings, priest of the Diocese of Duluth, will continue in his position as the Enforcer of Choral Discipline for the Liturgical Institute at the University of St. Mary of the Lake.
Fr. Samuel Weber reappointed Fr. Hastings to the post since "he did so well" last year.
In typical fasion, Fr. Hastings said this was only possible because "there was not much to do."
The ECD is responsible for correcting any singers at Lauds, Holy Mass, or Vespers who do not sing with the rest of the assembly, thereby causing distractions from sacred worship.
